Colours on our website will vary slightly depending how your monitor is calibrated. We do our very best to make sure all our images are true to the actual product you are purchasing but we can not guarantee a perfect match every time due to almost limitless variations in home monitor set ups.
The specifications & photographs on this website are for information and general guidance purposes only. Our products are continually updated and changes may be made to specification, design or appearance from time to time. These are subject to change without notice. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept PayPal payments, which are both safe and easy to use. You don't have to be a member of PayPal to use it.
Please note that for security reasons if paying through PayPal the delivery address needs to match the billing address registered to your PayPal account.
All prices are inclusive of VAT at 20% where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. Shipping charges are calculated online and are added to your order in your basket.
Occasionally, an error may occur and goods may be incorrectly priced in which case we will not be obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price or at all. We will (at our discretion) either cancel your order and refund the price you have paid or use reasonable endeavours to contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you or you do not wish to continue with the order at the correct price, we will cancel your order and full refund will be done as soon as possible.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Vast majority of all in stock orders placed before 1pm is dispatched from us on the same day, however there might be some exceptions due to high level of orders.
It may take up to 5 working days to procees orders for vintage items.
All orders are sent out with Royal Mail post or courier company (DHL/DPD/EQUATOR). We will send a confirmation email once your order has been shipped. Please get back to us if you need a tracking number for your order. Your order will be fulfilled within 30 days of the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
If you live outside of Europe, we’re happy to provide a shipping estimate. Just email us at email@example.com, with the items you want to buy and your shipping address and we’ll send you an estimate quote. All international orders are handled through PayPal.
A shipping fee of £10.00 will be added to all cyclescheme orders.
We reserve the right to charge for failed collections at a customer's address (i.e. no-one is present at the address, the address is obstructed, or the collection is refused).
DUTIES AND TAXES
Please note that if you live outside EU you will be responsible for any extra charges incurred due to import duties or taxes charged levied on goods. It might be worth checking with your countries tax office before placing your order.
Bespoke items such as custom built wheels, custom built bikes or any items made to your specification cannot be returned unless faulty. There is plenty of opportunity during the consultation process to ensure that the wheels, frame or bike you receive will be a perfect match to your specifications and requirements.
Please remember that it might take up to 7 working days for custom build wheels to be despatched. Also please note that custom frames take approximately 8 weeks to be hand made and hand paint (all done within EU).

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS
If the item you ordered is out of stock you will be notified by email as soon as possible. We will also let you know when the item should be coming into stock and give you details of other similar products that are in stock at present.
It is always the owners responsibility to ensure that the bike has been assembled to the correct standard and that everything is functioning correctly. If you have any doubt as to your ability to correctly assemble a bike to the correct standard then please visit your local bike shop to have your bike assembled by a professional bicycle mechanic.
Brick Lane Bikes does not accept any responsibility for improper assembly or use any of our bicycles or accessories.
At Brick Lane Bikes we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. You have the right to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of the date the item was delivered. This applies to all our products except for bespoke items or "special order" items for which we offer no refund.
If you wish to cancel, return or exchange something, you must contact us in writing - by mail or email - before returning goods.
Returned items must be in their original packaging and must be undamaged, unused and not trial fitted. Clothing must be unworn and unwashed with tags on if supplied. Shoes must be unworn with no dirt on the sole (or elsewhere) and must come with the original box. For reasons of health and hygiene safety, we are unable to exchange or refund socks and bicycle helmets. We will consider the overall condition of the item/s returned prior to making a refund. We regret that we are unable to accept returns of any bespoke items or items ordered as special orders.
The risk and cost of returning the goods to us shall be accepted by you unless you have notified us that the goods have arrived damaged or faulty and this has been verified by us. If goods are not returned within this period, we will assume that you have withdrawn your right to cancel.
As outline in the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), failure to return items in their original condition will result in deductions from your refund or refusal of a return. As a result, we may make deductions to your refund for any diminution in value of the returned goods where the handling of goods has "gone beyond the sort of handling that might reasonably be allowed in a store".
Returns are normally processed within 2-3 working days and a confirmation email will be sent. Please be advised refunds can take up to 14 working days to process. This return policy does not affect your statutory rights.
The right to cancel does not apply to orders delivered outside of the European Union.

When sending your return please obtain a receipt as a proof of postage from your Post Office as you will have to produce it in case of a loss. For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service if the value of item is more than £50. If the item is sent incorrectly by us then we will pay the return postage, this will be done once we receive the parcel back so that we know how much it has cost you to send it back.
Please note that for all UK/international returns customer must contact us first before returning an item and then must follow our shipping instructions. We regret that we cannot cover the cost of postage back to ourselves.
For security reasons all refunds will be issued to the same PayPal account or credit/debit card which were used to pay for that order.
If you notice that your order is damaged, please do not accept the package and contact us straight away. Alternatively please photograph the damaged packaging, or send it back to us so we can see what went wrong.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Where we are unable to supply the goods you have ordered for any reason, we will issue you with a refund within 30 days of your order, by crediting the PayPal account or credit/debit card used to pay for that order.
If you cancel your order, you are responsible for arranging and paying for the return of the goods to us. If you accept the goods within the 14 day cancellation period, you are not entitled to cancel your order.
If a refund is required, we will only refund the value of the goods, and not the cost we charged you for shipping.
Please note that in some cases when the original order was shipped for free we reserve the right to deduct the real costs of shipping that we have paid from the value of the item(s) which were returned.
We do not refund the costs of postage for refused or incorrectly addressed parcels, so when placing an order please make sure that both shipping and billing addresses are correct.
SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS
By "special order item" we mean any goods which are not normally stocked by Brick Lane Bikes and have to be ordered directly from manufacturer. We require full pre-payment for all special order items.
You should inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify Brick Lane Bikes via email or by phone within 14 days of receiving parcel. After that time we assume that you have accepted the item.
Special order goods are not returnable unless they are faulty or incorrect. We believe that there is plenty of opportunity during the consultation process to ensure that items you want to order will match to your specifications and requirements.
VINTAGE BIKES, FRAMES & COMPONENTS
Brick Lane Bikes does not offer any warranty on vintage, used or second hand products. They are sold as seen and described. We strongly suggest buyer to take additional care with vintage items, and as result of their age not subject them to too much force or "hard" riding. Vintage items described as NOS (new old stock) are brand new and had never been used or fitted although they still might have some storage marks.
If you have any questions about our vintage products (size, colours, paint work or general condition of any item) please email us on email@example.com. We will give you as much information about the product as we can. In some cases we might be able to provide more photos.
Clearance/Sale items may have astethical imperfection which does not affect the performance of the product. Clearance/Sale items are sold as is and cannot be returned based on reasons stated above.
