Following on the heels of the successful Racer is the leaner, meaner, racier Racer Medium. It's got fantastic stopping power and thanks to the very stiff and short arms it modulates that power better than any brake.
Racer Medium features an additional bridge piece that runs between the pivots and allows the Racer Medium to mount to frames with a single brake mounting hole above the tire. The option is given for a shorter recessed bolt to work with modern frames. In this setup the Racer Medium is a medium reach brake with a range of 47 to 57mm.
The Racer Medium come with all necessary hardware: mounting bolts, straddle wire, cable carrier, and a pair of salmon Koolstop Thinline brake pads.
Between the arms there is enough clearance to fit a 45mm fender and a 32mm wide tire. We think this is a perfect combination for an all-around do-everything road bike if there ever was one. As a bonus, the brake will not pinch the side of the fender like dual pivot brakes do.

The Paul Components Touring Canti brake (silver) is a powerful cantilever brake with a similar design to the Neo-Retro, but with the arms angled upward. This gives the brake a much narrower profile without significantly reducing stopping power.
The narrower profile of the Touring Canti can be desirable if you're riding with large panniers or if your current brakes don't give you enough heel or calf clearance. The arms of the Touring Canti are machined from lightweight 6061 aluminum. Their T-shaped cross section prevents the brake from flexing too much under load. The brake pads mount to slots in the arms that allow for vertical positioning. The toe-in and angle can be fine tuned thanks to the spherical washers on the brake pads' threaded posts.
Like all of Paul Components brakes, the Touring Canti has a sealed pivot mechanism. Rubber seals and a stainless steel bushing keep the brake arms turning smoothly no matter what you're riding through. The spring tension can be adjusted in both pivots to center the brake and to adjust the strength of the return swing.
The Touring Canti comes with pivots pre-greased and with all necessary hardware.

The Paul Components Word Disc Rear Hub (black) is the first single-speed specific MTB hub ever produced by Paul Components back in 1996. “W.O.R.D.” stood for Wacky One Speed Rear Device, because at a time when most riders had just upgraded from 7 to 8 speeds, the idea of stripping all the derailleurs off of your bike to make a super simple, reliable, harder-to-ride bike seemed like a pretty stubborn and a little crazy idea. Since then it has become a cult classic.

Yes, this hub spins very smoothly due to extremely high tolerance machined bearing bores, high quality user-adjustable sealed cartridge bearings, and a hub shell design that has been refined over years of production and real world abuse to be as light as possible while still withstanding the abuse that the biggest, most reckless riders can put it through.

One of the best things about the latest iteration might be the super-stiff, super-light, flex-free, interchangeable 7075 Alloy axle. In the future, if you switch frames or get a new bike, you can easily change out the existing axle for whichever style of attachment fits your new dropouts.

When Paul Components first introduced Wacky One-Speed Rear Device (W.O.R.D.), it was the first purpose-built single speed mountain bike hub. That original hub not only set design standards that continue to this day, like a 52mm single speed chainline.

When designing this modern version of the WORD, they spread the flanges out as far as possible while leaving room for freewheel threading. This allows the WORD to be built up as a strong dishless wheel. Over the years they’ve also improved upon the original axle and bearing adjustment mechanism.

The WORD comes with special machined axle bolts. The washers are made of brass and have deeply knurled contact faces. This ensures they’ll grip onto dropout faces without marring the frame, yet will still be able to be loosened easily trail side.

The WORD can be easily adjusted with cinch bolt style adjuster ring. Spoke holes are chamfered and the flanges are canted towards the rim to reduce stress on the head and elbow of the spoke.

These are replacement bolts for front track hubs. These have a thread pitch of M8 x 1.25 x 40mm. Sold in pairs. Includes washers and O-Rings.

Phil quick release skewers are machined in-house and manufactured from US produced 6061 aluminium and stainless steel for uncompromising strength and reliability.

Each lever and adjusting nut is then finished off with engraved and hand painted "Phil" and "P".
